This fiber cable pair has a very narrow beam that allows light to be received and emitted from the parallel lenses at no more than 2 degrees divergence. This enables accurate detection of wafers in cassettes where reflection from the periphery is prevented. The culminating lenses provide long distance scanning ranges when aligned properly.
